A: It depends on the look you want. A graining tool gives you a high-end, deep and well defined grain. Most choose the traditional contemporary look that comes out when you do not use the graining tool.

Using a graining tool gives you a raised grain. You can use with with the same color wood or two shades of wood depending on the look you want.
